Fixtures are now on the new website.

We are currently waiting for the Sunday league to announce the constitution of the divisions and their fixtures. Once we have these I can update the website with these.

Hi everyone,

I am the U13's Saturday manager and wanted to let you all know we have our first home game next week (26/9).  We have a really talented squad and I feel we are good enough to challenge for the league in our first season.  It would be great if we could get a few bodies down to support the lads in their first home game against local rivals and league champions Gosport Falcons.  The game is likely to be a half 10 ko at cams, I will post details again if any different.

Thanks for your support

Carl

Despit the atrocious weather well done to the boys in thrashing Havant & Waterlooville 6-1 this morning.

The football at times was excellent on the difficult surface and as well as the goals, we hit the post twice, forced the keeper to save several outstanding saves and missed a couple of one on ones.

Their were plenty of outstanding performers today in the Red and Black and following the last few weeks results, the future looks bright for Fareham Town

Havant and Waterlooville vs Fareham Town - View from the fans

The match started hard with chances for both teams but a goal from Liam Philips mid way through the first half turned the match Fareham's way. Good link up play between the mid field and the strikers lead to two more goals from Ryan B. and Joe. Fareham lead 3-0 at half time.

Havant and Waterlooville came out hard in the second half but goals from Jake, Ryan C. and Lewis made sure that Fareham came out on top. Havant broke through Fareham's strong defense to score their only goal.

Fantastic team play, Well Done.

View from the manager:

Havant & Waterlooville 1 Fareham Town Youth 6

Liam Phillips
Ryan Bath
Joe Donohue
Jake Parr
Ryan Clutterbrook
Lewis Evans

Fareham Town recorded their first league win of the season with an impressive demolition of last season’s league runners up Havant & Waterlooville.  Fareham had to compete with a wet and miserable day and a Havant pitch that was in serious need of a short back and sides.

Despite that the boys settled into the game quickly and looked comfortable in possession.  In what was the first real attack of the game a switch of play allowed tricky wide man Liam Phillips space to run in behind the Havant back line and finish well at the near post.  The early goal put the team at ease and Fareham continued to win the early exchanges with the defence rarely troubled despite the wet surface and direct style of their opponents.

The second goal was not far behind after a fantastic cross field pass from influential midfielder Jake Parr found Joe Donohue in space, Donohue then set himself to deliver a pinpoint cross for strike partner Ryan Bath to coolly slot home and continue his impressive start to the season.

Donohue then managed to bag a goal for himself as Fareham began to dominate and impose their passing style on to their opponents.  The interval offered Havant the opportunity to regroup and they started the second half on the front foot, committing more men forward in an effort to get back into the game.  Fareham switched to a 4-3-3 in an attempt to reclaim the centre of the park and after a good period of pressure managed to kill the game after goals from Jake Parr, pacey wide man Lewis Evans and debutant Ryan Clutterbrook.

Havant did manage a consolation after one of their long balls eventually got through and the striker finished well.  It was disappointing for keeper Acer Burton and his defence as up until that point that had put in a solid performance worthy of a clean sheet.

Overall it was an excellent performance from the boys in difficult conditions, with centre back Liam McShannon and striker Ryan Bath the shining lights.  The league campaign is up and running with local rivals Gosport next on the fixture list.

Fareham Town Youth 2 – 3 Liss

Ryan Bath
Bradley Haimes

Fareham Town Youth failed to build on the good results of the last few weeks by losing out to division 1 strugglers Liss Athletic.

In a game they were expected to win Fareham found themselves out battled and out worked by a determined Liss team.  A Ryan Bath strike gave Fareham the lead but defensive errors and a goalkeeping mistake meant the boys came in at half time 2-1 down.

Bradley Haimes came off the bench at the interval and had an almost immediate impact by slotting home from just inside the 18 yard box to draw level.  As Fareham pushed for the three points they were caught by a counter attack and conceded the third goal.  Steven Golding went agonisingly close but could not get enough on a Lewis Evans cross to equalize.  Other chances came and went and the Fareham Town supporters realised it was going to be one of those days.

All in all it was a disappointing performance from the team but hopefully the players will have learnt not to underestimate teams in the future.  Attention will now turn to the Hampshire cup with a last 16 fixture against Alderbury this coming weekend.  An excellent chance therefore to forget about this game and get back to winning ways.

Fareham Town Youth 4 Vs 0 Alderbury

Jake Parr
Ryan Bath 2
Bradley Haimes

Fareham Town Youth got back to winning ways and booked a place in the Hampshire Cup quarter final after overcoming Alderbury by four goals to nil.  Fareham started brightly with Bradley Haimes and Steven Golding causing problems.  The opener came from a Jake Parr free kick that dipped just under the cross bar and beat the keeper from 25 yards out.

The pressure continued as Alderbury struggled to get out of their own half and Fareham continued to press.  A clumsy challenge in the box gave Ryan Bath chance to increase the lead from the spot.  He cooly slotted home and allowed the team some breathing space.

Half way through the first half direct running from Lewis Evans drew another foul in the box and striker Ryan Bath again slotted home to add to his impressive goal haul this season.  The game was then ended as a contest when Bradley Haimes capped his best performance of the season with a goal.  He smashed the ball into the roof of the net from 6 yards after Alderbury failed to clear a corner.

The second half saw a catalogue of missed opportunities for Fareham with everyone trying to get in on the goalscoring act.  This allowed Alderbury more space and a couple of chances for themselves.  However Acer Burton was exceptional in goal and ensured a cleansheet and a pat on the back from his manager.

Overall it was a good performance with Bradley Haimes pulling the strings and at the heart of everything Fareham did well.  The team now moves into the last eight of the Hampshire Cup and will hope to progress further.

Liss Tornadoes 1 Vs 10 Fareham Town Youth

                                   Ryan Bath 3
                                   Bradley Haimes 3
                                   Jake Hill
                                   Josh Young
                                   Lewis Evans
                                   Liam Phillips

Fareham Town Youth stormed into the league cup semi finals with a 10-1 victory over Liss Tornadoes.  The result was never in doubt as Fareham bagged two early goals and continued to dominate for the rest of the game.  In contrast to some performances this season the boys kept their foot on the pedal and were more clinical in front of goal this time out.

Ryan Bath and stand in captain Bradley Haimes both bagged hatricks but it was right back Josh Young that really caught the eye with a fantastic attacking performance that was capped with a goal.  Other goals came from Jake Hill, Lewis Evans and Liam Phillips.

Left winger Liam Phillips looks to be getting back to his best form after a number of niggling injuries have hampered his season prior to today's game.  His delivery into the box is a strikers dream and after his first half showing his manager will find it hard to leave him out of the starting 11 next week.

It was a great performance from the team as they continue to fight for silverware on three fronts this season and can look forward to a semi final fixture in the next few weeks.  Well played boys!

Once more the boys of Fareham's future did us proud with a fine 3-2 victory to move into the semi finals of the Hampshire Cup.

VT Youth 2 Vs 3 Fareham Town Youth

                       Liam Phillips
                       Bradley Haimes
                       Jordan Lewry

Fareham Town Youth marched into the Hampshire Cup semi final after a hard fought win against league leaders VT Youth.  In a great game of football Fareham Town got the result their hard work deserved.  Both teams played some good football and it was an enjoyable spectacle for both sets of fans.

The opener came early for Town after VT failed to clear a corner and Liam Phillips helped a Jake Parr cross over the keeper to give Fareham the lead.  VT were undeterred and a ball from a central area through the Fareham defence led to the equaliser which birthday boy Acer Burton had no chance with.

The game got fairly scrappy and Fareham realised they were in a battle but were playing the better football.  The half time team talk was centred around winning the aerial battle in midfield, something we failed to do in the first 45.  Joe Donohue and Jake Parr put in a great shift in the second period and began to dictate the game.  Fareham pressure led to the second goal after Bradley Haimes latched onto a Jake Parr through ball and skipped around the keeper to tap home.  VT pushed for the equaliser but it was Fareham who got the next goal with a 20 yard left foot strike that nestled in the top corner from man of the match Jordan Lewry.

VT hit back almost immediately to set up an entertaining last 15mins in which both teams had chances.  Bradley Haimes could of put the game to bed after a swift counter attack gave him an opportunity to score but uncharacteristically he sliced wide.  Great goalkeeping from Acer Burton and clearances of the line from Steven Golding and Liam Fitzgerald kept the score at 3-2 and ensured Fareham will be in the hat for the semi final.

A fantastic result and a great performance, well played!
