Joining Matt Parr's Red Revolution at Fareham Town..........................

In Dan Hayes and Torr Spicer we have two the best young players in the Wessex league, they both have big futures in the game and I hope they can play a major part in helping achevive Southern League football.

Dan Hayes (Hayling United)
A talented midfield player with an eye for goal, 22 year old Dan has been Hayling's top goalscorer for the past two seasons. This season his tally was a healthy 12 goals, which is not bad for a midfielder! This also earned him the Player's Player award to add to his collection. A product of the Portsmouth FC Academy, he is most often noted for his skills on the ball, but he can tackle, too, and at 6' 1" he will add some much needed height to the side.

Torr Spicer (Horndean)
A prolific young striker who stepped up from Hampshire League football this season and finished as Horndean's top goalscorer on 13 goals. Bearing in mind that Horndean finished bottom of the table, it makes his goal tally look all the more impressive. Torr has bags of potential and several clubs have been watching him closely. He will be a welcome asset to the club, giving us the additional options we need in our attack.

Excellent signings we hope  Very Happy

The first of a number I suspect as Matt aims to strengthen a squad, a bit short on numbers and quality last term

He`s been busy very early making his moves to sign up the new players, and there will be more??

Well done Matt

COME ON YOU REDS!!

John Stevens from Gosport - Midfielder.

Both reserve players for their clubs i think. Both sides have poor first teams but hey i will reserve full judgement after seeing them in action

Hello all,

Just thought I would take this opportunity to introduce myself and say hello.

These fans forums are a great way for players and supporters alike to speak and air there views on games etc.  So please feel free to ask me questions or PM me anytime.  My admin skills aren't the greatest (just ask my boss!!) but I will try and respond when I can.  If that doesn’t work then please come see me in the bar (Strongbow please!!).

Those of you that are old enough may remember me from the ill fated Trevor Prowting days (now that was an introduction to men's football!!) at the Town when at the age of 16/17 years old I played a number of games for the first team while in the youth team.  From that experience I am aware how passionate and keen the Town supporters are and you deserve the success that Matt and his team and trying to bring.

Matt and Lissy along with the rest of the club have sold the vision and the way in which they want to go and I for one along with the rest of the new signings, existing squad and potential new signings are excited by this and want to be part of the success not only on the pitch but off it as well!!

I will leave it at that for now as I am starting to bore myself let alone your guys and girls reading this!!

Bucko

P.S - Could help myself but REDEYE I played over 50 first team games for Andover last year, so hopefully I can get you to make a good judgement on me!!

Hello Bucko and a warm welcome back.

We've all tried to forget the Trevor Prowting days. Makes me shudder thinking about them!

Ben Buckland (From-Andover FC)
Ben is a 26 year old defender who reads the game well and can play anywhere across the back four. His previous clubs include spells here at Fareham, Gosport and Fleet and although this season has been a tough one at Andover, he established himself as a crowd favourite. He impressed Matt during a loan spell at Hayling United and he made a valuable contribution during his short time there. His experience of playing at a higher level makes him a useful signing.

Jon Stevens (From-Gosport Borough)
Jon is 29 years old and has played for Matt during his time at Locks Heath, Horndean and Hayling United. He is a reliable, hard-working midfielder with an eye for a pass. Jon enjoys the physical side of the game and loves to win the ball and set things up. He spent the back end of last season at Gosport . He will be a major part of Matt’s plan for this season.

Welcome back Mr Buckland

and
Jon Stevens

On Gosport Web Site

Signed in March 2008 from Hayling United in the Wessex League, Jon was expecting to join the reserve team squad but immediately found himself as part of Alex Pike's first team plans.  An exciting prospect.
Position: Midfielder
DOB:
Previous clubs: Hayling United

Ben

Good to have you and Jon on board here at Fareham  Very Happy  Very Happy

Things are really taking off at Fortress Cams this coming season, and you new guys want to be part of "Matt`s Revolution"
Don`t blame you.....exciting times are clearly ahead, and you are right in wanting to be part of it.

You will not lack vocal encouragement from the regular noise makers behind the goal, and when you start scoring/stopping goals etc, just watch us make that inportant "12th man" count

Onwards and upwards Ben and Jon, roll on pre season and mid August.
Can`t wait......
